Park & Pipe Community Update - December 2025

Hot Off the Press: Indra Brown has qualified 4th in her Freeski Halfpipe World Cup debut! Watch Indra in the finals on Saturday at 2pm.

Dear Park and Pipe Community,

We are pleased to bring you the latest update from across the snowsports community. This month’s newsletter includes information on the Park & Pipe Junior World Championship Expressions of Interest, along with recent highlights from World Cup competitions and other key developments.

World Cup season is well underway with our Freeski Athletes competing in Stubai, Secret Garden, and Beijing events. Stubai’s weather put up a fight, which provided a challenging start to the season. The Men’s Freeski Slopestyle event was a late cancellation due to heavy wind, and the Women’s event based overall results off the qualifying runs. However, still a great opportunity for training in all snow conditions.

Moving into the China Big Air World Cups, both our Aussie Snowboard and Freeski Park & Pipe athletes achieved some solid results. In Secret Garden, Josh Robertson-Hahn placed best in the men’s snowboard big air event finishing in 20th. While all three Aussie women qualified for the finals, with Tess Coady finishing 4th, Meila Stalker in 5th and Ally Hickman in 7th. In the Freeski competition Daisy Thomas qualified in 2nd Place and finished 6th overall.

Up next was Beijing Big Air, which had a stacked start list with many international competitors beginning their World Cup campaigns. Valentino Guseli was best placed in the Men's Snowboard Big Air finishing in 13th. A great result coming back into his second World Cup post-injury. Tess Coady stomped her way to finals in the Women’s Snowboard Big Air, qualifying in 7th place, and finishing in 8th.

Coming up, the World Cups continue in Secret Garden, China with the first Halfpipe event of the season. Look out for athletes Scotty James, Amelie Haskell, Misaki Vaughan, and Emily Arthur competing in the Snowboard Halfpipe and Freeski Athlete Indra Brown making her Halfpipe World Cup debut!

Valentino Guseli, Josh Robertson-Hahn, Jesse Parkinson, Meila Stalker, Ally Hickman and skier Joey Ellis will all travel to Steamboat, Colorado for the next Big Air World Cup.

Best of luck to all athletes competing in their next lot of competitions!

Be sure to check out SnowLive to keep up to date on upcoming international events and our Aussie athletes in action!

On behalf of Snow Australia, we hope you all have a lovely Christmas and New Year.

See you in 2026!

Snow Australia would like to notify our community that the Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) Annual Update for 2026 is now available.

The Annual Update is an important part of ongoing integrity education for athletes, coaches, staff and volunteers. Its purpose is to ensure everyone in our system stays informed about current anti-doping rules, updates to prohibited substances, testing processes, athlete rights and responsibilities, and broader integrity expectations across Australian sport.

Completion of the Annual Update forms a key requirement within the Snow Australia Integrity Education Plan, which outlines the mandatory and recommended learning for all members of our community. This includes athletes, coaches, program staff, club officials and volunteers at all levels of our pathway who play an essential role in our sport’s safe and fair environment.

The Annual Update 2026 can be completed through the Sport Integrity Australia eLearning Portal.
